Here once the life of the Brixen canons took place. The bishop walked attentively through the Old Dechantei, incense was in the air. On feast days the gentlemen celebrated with hearty meals and beer. The restaurant “Decantei” has its roots in the Old Dechantei. Here a small piece of Brixen’s history lives on.
We love it! The pale, the cloudy, the red, the dark ones. And because we love it so much, you can also find it in our aperitif and cocktails. You too? We have to meet! Grab a seat at the bar, in the beer garden or the courtyard and cheers!
Reinventing the traditional doesn’t work? Yes, it does! A bit of nostalgia for grandma’s kitchen, a good dose of creativity and, above all, a lot of love for food. That’s all. The smell of wood, golden brass here and there, twisty rooms make you curious. The restaurant “Decantei” combines zeitgeist and tradition – also in our architecture: Thanks to Pedevilla Architects it is something particular inspired by South Tyrolean parlours, combined with modern accents.
